Doctors on duty (outside general practitioners’ operating hours)
In cases where it is not possible to visit a general practitioner (outside general practitioners’ operating hours), but the state of health does not allow waiting, doctors on duty are available in Riga and other major cities.
A doctor on duty provides assistance to all citizens, regardless of which general practitioner the patient is registered with.
In cases where medical assistance is needed, contact medical service provider by telephone first. You should not go to a medical facility or to a doctor without prior appointment! Also, when arriving at a medical treatment facility, the patient must use a face mask, respirator or crosshair.
