Tourists who are vaccinated against COVID in the USA, Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand or Australia will be provided with an opportunity, upon arrival in the Republic of Latvia, to create a short-term vaccination certificate for use in the territory of the Republic of Latvia in order to receive various services, visit catering establishments, etc.
The short-term certificate confirms that the person is fully vaccinated against COVID. This certificate also contains a QR code that can be read by the mobile app "Covid19Verify", which is used to scan certificates in the Republic of Latvia. The short-term certificate is valid for 30 days from the date of issue and is cancelled thereafter.
Short-term certificates are issued by Tourist Information Centres that have signed a cooperation agreement with the NHS to use the system to issue such certificates.
